Shouts do not stagger, but gust from the winds will throw player and NPCs around.

Instead some of them can fly out even with their health bar almost bleeded out. It makes dragons more unpredictable to fight, because they no longer obey the vanilla rule, when they crash at certain level of health. Without the constant stagger from meteors and shouts, Gopher would had much less problems to deal with the dragon. SkyRe was one of major factors in difficulty here. Gopher played that game the very same way that I do: SkyRe (adds stagger to effects we saw and that alone increases the difficulty), Revenge of the Enemies, Dragon Combat Overhaul, Deadly Dragons and Expert difficulty. The one potentially annoying part is the knockbacks if you're melee (as I am this game) but I mainly use a *good* bow and antronoch on them even with lower skill and it has been OK.ДЄnyway, if you're looking to spice up your game and haven't tried this, you might want to. I feel it is more immersive that the dragons are a constant threat and while I could up the difficulty or spawns, it seems fine on the default.

**While I love mods like Frostfall and such I wondered why this mod wasn't mentioned more often on recommended mods? The battles were harder though, in a good way.

Now I did have two companions but still I didn't die, or on subsequent attacks without guards so far (I'm LV 13). I freaked a little bit when 3 dragons attacked Whiterun proper when I was LV 6, one of them a Blood, but was as much laughing at the experience than anything. I'm not an FPS/console player and yet now loving the heck out of it. I didn't know if there are people like me that were intimidated by the DCO description and not installing it, thinking it too hard.
